February 2004

February 13th – 15th: Country Peddler Show. Be sure and mark your calendars for the Country Peddler Show, held at The Selena Bayfront Auditorium. April 8 – May 2: Buccaneer Days. Buccaneer Days began in 1938 and celebrates Corpus Christi’s pirate heritage. Families camp out to get a good viewing spot to watch the illuminated Night Parade along Leopard Street. The event also boasts a carnival, pageants, fireworks, a rodeo and a children’s parade. April 15th – 18th: Windfest. The 31st annual event includes both kids’ and adults’ basketball tournaments, a chili, bean and rib cookoff, a carnival, a children’s area, a petting zoo and food booths. April 30 – May 2, 2004: Freer Rattlesnake Roundup. Check out the heaviest and longest rattlesnakes at this festival held in Freer. The event also includes a rattlesnake hunt, carnival, dances and much more. For further information call (361)394-6891.

June 4th – 6th: 56th Annual Aransas Pass Shrimporee. If you’re a shrimp lover, you’ll love this festival.
